Plot[]
Jacquetta of Luxembourg is chosen to marry the Duke of Bedford, but when he dies, she becomes a healthy, young widow. Her only friend is Duke's squire, Richard Woodville, and it is not long before the two become lovers and marry in secret.
All the Woodvilles return to Lancaster court, in which Jacquetta becomes close friends with King Henry VI's new queen. But the threats from the people of England start to grow around her, also the royal rivals. The King soon slides into a mysterious sleep; Margaret, his queen, goes to the wrong sources for help; and Richard, the Duke of York, threatens to overturn the household to its rival, the House of York.
Jacquetta fights for her king, queen and daughter, Elizabeth Woodville, to bring back peace to her house.
